the area im painting is 60ftx1ft i would like an idea of how much to charge? the paint is provided by the customer so im just doing the labour, it needs 2 coats (primer/gloss) it should take approx 6-7hrs due to the location im painting!

what is the average wage for a painter in wales?
i have recently started my painting business with my partner, but am unsure how much to charge customers. i a currently charging £120 a day(8 hours work,£60 each).This includes prep work.2 emulsion coats on ceiling and 2 on walls, and als glossing skirting.This is for an average10"x"10 room. Am i charging too little.Thanks

quote for a painting job?
hi i have been offered a contract to paint a large building outside it is going to take 2 coats of dulux weathershield i want to know how much a painting contractor would charge per sqare yard as i normally only do rooms in houses sterling or euro will do as i will convert it…..and any tips

When using the 'wet-on-wet' painting technique can I use the pre-stretched canvas available in most art shops?
These are usually already coated with at least 2 layers of gesso. Can I start immediately by then coating this with liquid white as used by Bob Ross and other wet-on-wet painters? Sometimes Bob Ross has coated his canvas with an acrylic paint. Can anyone explain why he sometimes coats with one thing and on others with something else?
Using this technique, must the painting be finished in one session or could it be left part way through until the next day? Thanks.

painting exterior of whole semi detached house rough price?
My neighbour and I would like to share the cost of having the whole exterior of our semi detached 2 bedroom properties painted. I’m in south bucks. Think the walls are in good condition so should just require a couple of coats. Any idea of a rough price?
when you say windows are not plastic im assuming you mean the frames? These are PU (I think) White plastic frames. It’s only actually the second floor that needs painting as ground floor is all brick.

I need to decorate my house as the previous owners smoked & the wall's & ceilings are a orangy colour,?
Do i have to wash them before painting or give them a couple of coats to hide the stains & what do i need to wash them with is it sugar soap as i’m unsure?.
can i use the left over emulsion paints to paint some flowers and kids stuff on a garden play house?
the play house has been given 3 coats of cuprinol shed/fence care first, or am i wasting my time with emulsion. so far i have had people say both yes and no. has anyone done this… if so how did it last.

What rates can i expect to pay a painter & decorator?
I’m after having my home painted from top to bottom – each room.
So that is a large hallway, a box sized toilet room, a box bedroom, two double bedrooms, two average sized bathrooms, a large and high ceiling kitchen/dining/living room.
A couple of coats of paint.
I’m just wondering how much i might expect to pay for the labour in the south of England?
