advice needed on painting outside shed/toilet?

We just moved in to this house and there is a outside toilet in the garden so i thought it would be handy for the kids to use instead of dragging the mud through the house. Someone has already painted it before but the paint is peeling off so my girlfriends dad said just paint stabilising solution over it then just repaint it but i removed all the paint and washed the walls down but since washing the walls down i got this white fluffy stuff coming out the mortar in some places. Can i brush the white fluffy stuff off then give it a coat of stabilising solution or will i need something different.

Rusting of edges of house. ie External edges and windows!?

I live on the coast and my house is plasterd and painted. The anadised edging strip which is used when building the property has started to rust on all external edges. I have red leaded the offending areas but the rust returns within 12 months. Can anyone suggest a solution ?

What colour could I paint my room?

I have just moved into a new house and have quite a large bedroom. I’m thinking about painting it pale green or black and off-white with maybe some silver stripes randomly on the walls. Can you buy metallic paint, does it exist?? Are there any other colours or ways I could paint my room without making it too dark – there’s only one window?

im doin a paint job on someones house im up and down a ladder whilst doin it as its on the roof line,?

the area im painting is 60ftx1ft i would like an idea of how much to charge? the paint is provided by the customer so im just doing the labour, it needs 2 coats (primer/gloss) it should take approx 6-7hrs due to the location im painting!

Which Enrico Prampolini works are on display in the Nationale d'Arte Moderna in Rome?

I was in Rome last week and visited the Gallerry of Nationale d’Arte Moderna, where I saw a piece by Italian Futurist painter Enrico Prampolini and loved it. Now I can’t remember the title! It has something to do with Space and the cosmos and mother nature. There are constellations in the background. Any idea??

I have one white wall in my bedroom that must stay white,what is the best colour to paint other walls?

One wall is white and needs to stay that colour as it has Thomas Tank stickers on it down the far end(I decorated my sons little corner of the bedroom for him as we have a one bedroom house)

I need to paint my room as ex and I have split and I need to make room feel new again and unconnected with aforementioned ex for my own sanity.I also need to buy new bedding all on a budget of £50 max.Any ideas?

What is Nancy Jachec going on about in 'The Space Between Art and Political Action'?

If anybody has read Nancy Jachec’s Abstract Expressionism and Ethical Choice in the Postwar America 1945-50, could you please tell me your thought on it? I have found it so difficult to read. I understand that she is talking about the existentialist views of the Abstract Expressionist painters, and it’s use as propaganda… but what exactly is the point she is trying to make??
